I tried login for the first time. I login and go straight download update. It remains at 0%, times out, and ask me to restart.

Yes i have. I'm restarting install from fresh again. I will reply back when I've completed.

I re-installed from scratch, and applied updates to 3.3.5a (12340). I still have the same issue. Here is my wtf files

i changed realmlist & patchlist to my local server, and i connect correctly.

I'll ask antz as this should be working, not sure what else to suggest at this point.


I just tried my own client and got logged in just fine, but will speak to antz and see what he says.

Antz asked, are you running the wow.exe or the launcher?

I'm using wow.exe and not the launcher.exe. Tell Antz i say hi. He may recognize me as Mathelmi.

I enter myuser name and password...it accepts it and goes straight to downloading.

Antz asked if you had tried renaming the launcher to something else and trying again.

Madmax i have rename luncher.exe to PatchTst.bak, tried it again with the same result. It accepts my email address to login, but it will not allow me to use my user name....is this correct?

MadMax i ping 'logon.covenant-wow.com', i'm getting 37.46.83.73 as an ip address, but i do not get a response, all packets "Request timed out."......is this also correct?

Ah there is the issue, you cannot use email else it tries to connect to blizzard.

Check you can login on the website using the username?

This is normal we block ping.
